Your First Visit

Patient Forms

At your first appointment please bring your current ID and insurance card. Upon entering our office, a receptionist will welcome you to our office. If you haven’t already filled out the New Patient Forms, located in the Online Forms tab, we will ask you to do so upon arrival. This paperwork will provide us with your health history and information on your condition. If you have insurance, we will gladly check your benefits to see what they will cover for your treatment.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with one of the providers that will take a thorough case history. They will bring you back to a treatment room to discuss your health-related issues, concerns and potential treatment options. This initial consultation is designed to learn more about you, your condition and expectations to determine how chiropractic can help you and how we can meet your specific goals.

Examination

After your consultation, the provider will perform a chiropractic examination that will involve testing your range of motion, reflexes, flexibility and muscle strength. Neurological, Orthopedic, Postural and Physical tests will be performed as well. A full patient examination will help us see where areas are weak, tender and in need of improvement.

X-Ray Studies

If necessary, using our state-of-the-art, digital x-ray system, we are able to find any curves, degeneration or loss of disc space in your spine, which can’t be detected during the other evaluations.

Treatment

At the conclusion of the exam, you will receive your first adjustment by one of our doctors. During your adjustment, your provider will decide the treatment needed for you specifically. Adjustments can be made as you lie face down, on your back or side, and even sitting upright.

Once your treatment is complete, your doctor will recommend a follow up visit. It is at that visit we will see how you did after your first adjustment, as well as go over a treatment plan created specifically for you.

Wellness Program

Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest a  wellness program  to incorporate outside of treatment.  If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches.  If you desire,  our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle.  Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a  customized wellness plan.  The purpose  of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a  healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
